I did go to line dance class last night. If you think it's impossible to get a good workout from line dancing, think again! The class is from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, I got there around 7:00 pm and there was a 15-20 minute break. So for me it was about 70 minutes of non-stop dancing- - I was wiped out!!! I didn't realize it until last night but this is the only thing I've done (in terms of working out) that I have stuck with. It's because I'm doing something I love, which is dancing. With other forms of exercise, I love how I feel when the workout is over but with line dancing, I'm happy while I'm doing it. Hmmm....interesting.
So onto something that I like a lot but love how I feel after. If you don't know, P.I.N.K. Fitness is a home weightlifting system designed for women. It comes with, among other things, a 5 lb bar and a set of 4 2.5 lbs weights. Being me, I also purchased an extra set of 4 2.5 weight so that I could have a total of 20 lbs on the bar. It also comes with 12 workouts; each workout have 6-7 exercises and you do three rotations-no break. And, the workouts only last around 20 minutes. I bought this almost a year ago and uhm, I'm only up to 5 lbs. This is my second time through, although I never really finished the program my first time through. I got as far as workout #9, pulled a muscle, got a little scared, and stopped. I started the program again this past January with 5 lbs on the bar (for a challenge) and I'm up to workout #6. Have I lost a ton of weight? No, but I feel stronger. I can feel that my legs are stronger when I walk up a flight of stairs and my posture is improving. One thing I need to do though is stretch more. I can feel my muscles tightening up on me at this very moment and by the end of the day, I think I'll be about three inches shorter than I was when I woke up. More on P.I.N.K. Fitness on Monday; I'll be starting workout #7.
